HOW TO FILE ONLINE FOR A RESIDENTIAL HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION

Visit https://lubbockcad.org/

Locate your property using the Property Search bar.

Click on the HS Exemption link located on the top right corner of the property detail screen.

A partially completed Form 50‐114 will display.

Read and answer each question. Many questions default to NO that should be answered YES.

At the bottom of section 1, please indicate your previous residence address.

Incomplete applications will be rejected. If you are applying for the over 65 and receive the error message Affidavit or evidence of ownership for Age 65 – missing or invalid file ‐ Please attach your driver’s license again. They are working with their software vendor to correct this issue.

5. Verify that all information on the form is correct. Correct any error messages and sign and submit.

6. You will be notified by email within 30 days that your application has been approved or if additional information is needed.
